Flaminia Rukavina graduated in 2009 from the Universität für angewandte Kunst in Vienna with a master’s degree in conservation. From 2010 onward, she worked at the Doerner Institut in Munich, the research and conservation institute of the Bayerische Staatsgemäldesammlungen, where she focused primarily on the collection of the Alte Pinakothek.

From 2014 to 2016, she held a fellowship at the National Gallery in London.

Since 2016, she has run her own conservation practice in Vienna, working for institutional and private clients. In parallel, she serves as a paintings conservator at the Kunsthistorisches Museum Wien.
